How to use Lightning Gifts

To use Lightning Gifts, you will need to go to Lightning Gifts website. You have two options for creating a bitcoin gift: Basic and LNURL.

• Basic: With the Basic option, you can pay the invoice with a Lightning compatible wallet by scanning the QR code or copying the Lightning address. Once the invoice is paid, the gift card will be created.
• LNURL: With the LNURL option, you can scan the QR code or copy the LNURL to create a gift from your wallet. Once the gift is created, the recipient will be able to claim it by scanning the QR code or pasting the LNURL into their Lightning wallet.

The minimum amount for a gift is 100 sats. You can add the name of the recipient and a personalized message to your bitcoin gift to make the gift more special and personal.

Once the gift is created, you will receive a Lightning invoice. You can then send the invoice to the recipient. The recipient can claim the gift by scanning the QR code or pasting the LN-URL into their Lightning wallet. Once the funds are claimed, they will be deposited into the recipient’s wallet.
