How much bitcoin do you have?
I keep meeting people who are eager to tell me when they became “into crypto,” or even “into Bitcoin.” This seems ridiculous and dumb to me.

How much bitcoin do you have?
“NOT ENOUGH!” Never enough. Seasoned Bitcoiners know the correct answer to this question. But I keep meeting people eager to say since when they were “into crypto”, or even “into Bitcoin”. It is dumb.
We all know that “how much” is a dumb question. Now what about “when”?
When did you get into Bitcoin?
“Last week!” is the obvious answer. “I am a fast learner.”
Real life Bitcoin meetups and conferences are great. I don’t think Bitcoiners are the most interesting people but I can definitely have a good time with them talking about Bitcoin and everything that Bitcoin fixes (which is a lot but not everything). But next time you go to a place with lots of Bitcoiners, start practicing good privacy and opsec when someone asks you “since when” or even worse, when they start saying it themselves.
In my experience, the people who are boasting about the year they got in are more the shitcoiny tradery types. So it can also be a good litmus test. Because honestly, shitcoiners can still be great people fun to hang out with. But this is really not the case, when you meet shitcoiners at a Bitcoin conference while hoping to meet properly orange pilled people.
What about twitter and online presence?
Prepare yourself for a future where #BTC is so valuable that you regret disclosing your interest in it any time during 2010-2030.

So if you have been tweeting about Bitcoin for a while already, it is hard to put this genie back into the bottle. But if you have been tweeting about Bitcoin under your real name, it can be a good idea to stop doing that. Start a new nym account, or two. Start using these instead to tweet about Bitcoin.
